I found this on LiveJournal. I figure I'll do 10 questions each time life gets blah and I have nothing to post about. This way, I'm still blogging, my twelve or so readers won't get lonely and you'll all get to learn a little more about me. Or 5000 more things about me, actually.
1. Who are you?
My name is Jennifer. I'm almost 30 and live in NJ with my husband, my 3 daughters and my parents.
2. What are the 3 most important things everyone should know about you?
I suck at socializing. I never think to pick up the phone and call someone. It doesn't mean I don't like you or that I don't want to talk to you, just that I suck.
I am never lonely or bored. I enjoy being alone. I have no problem coming up with a million tasks and projects to keep me busy at any given moment.
I'm cheap. There I said it. I never used to be but after 3 kids, I find myself worrying about the prices of everything and the balance of my bank account far more often than is normal. I'm very concerned about getting the full value of my dollar and it's become embarrassing.
3. When you aren't filling out 5,000 question surveys like this one what are you doing?
I'm a stay-at-home mom to 3 daughters, which means I'm doing laundry, wiping butts and spoon feeding food most of the time. Once everyone is asleep I'm an entertainment junkie and fill all of my spare time with books, movies and TV shows. I also love to cook, but those I cook for are extremely picky eaters and it takes all the joy out of the experience.
4. List your classes in school from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least (or if you are out of school, think of the classes you did like and didn't like at the time).
I loved English class. My freshman year teacher exposed me to so many different styles and genres that I never would have read on my own and her love of books has remained a part of me 15 years later. I also liked Spanish class (again showing my love of words), Home Economics (the cooking part, not the sewing part) and Biology (but not Chemistry).
I hated Gym class. I'm a klutz and lack any type of athletic gene. I also disliked History (all those dates), Math (cause numbers and me aren't great together) and all the Art electives I had to take (I am the anti-crafty).
5. What is your biggest goal for this year?
This year is almost over, so I'll say in the next 365 days, my biggest goal is to get both the babies potty-trained. Being able to go a few days at a time without having to deal with a child's excrement would be the highlight of my life.
6. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
In five years it'll be 2014 and I'll be almost 35. I would like to own my own home. I would like to be done having babies and have my tubes tied. I would like all the children to be in school or daycare and have an outside-the-home job that I love. I would like to have a savings account that the bank doesn't constantly close for being under the minimum balance. I would also like to weigh something closer to what I did before I had children.
7. What stage of life are you in right now?
I suppose technically I'm an adult, on the happier side of the middle-age line.
8. Are you more child-like or childish?
I don't think I either, but if I had to chose one, I'd have to say childish. I have no child-like wonder but do still giggle when someone says something I can construe as sexual.
9. What is the last thing you said out loud?
I believe that would be "bye." I just got off the phone with the husband.
10. What song comes closest to how you feel about your life right now?
I totally suck at thinking of songs that reference anything. I going to go with 1985 by Bowling for Soup because I feel like I'm getting old.
